Meet Our Board
Treasurer
Brooks Chase

Member, Mixed Masters Team & Sculling Classes
Brooks Chase began his rowing journey when he and his wife Nancy moved to Seattle 11 years ago and enrolled in a Learn To Row program. It was the perfect way to reconnect with a sport he hadn’t participated in since college. His involvement with Pocock provided an excellent opportunity to make new friendships in Seattle. Brooks is a member of the Mixed Masters Team (MMT) and participates in sculling classes. He’s always eager to jump into a double with a rowing partner in need. Currently, Brooks serves as the Treasurer of PRC and is the club’s delegate to the GPRF board. He also volunteers on the Building and Finance Committees at GPRF. These roles give PRC a voice in overseeing our shared, treasured boathouse. Semi-retired, Brooks is a co-founder and senior advisor at Starfish Specialty Insurance. His professional commitments rarely prevent him from enjoying a morning row or spending a day skiing or hiking in the mountains.

Wanting to continue to row while working as a research tech in her hometown of Indianapolis, she helped establish the first rowing club there in 1982. After moving to Seattle, Jody rowed off and on at Green Lake for many years before joining Pocock. A little more than a decade ago she renewed her connection to ND by founding an alumnae rowing team, the NDames, that competes several times a year in various masters races throughout the country. During her 30-year professional career as a podiatric physician, she served 11 years on the Board of the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association, including two years as president. Now retired, Jody enjoys traveling with her wife, puttering in her garden and hanging out with her grandchildren.
